Elegant Vanity is an S-rank W-Engine in Zenless Zone Zero that has carved out a distinct niche as a premier support option. As the signature weapon of Astra, it embodies the elegance and utility expected from one of the game's most celebrated support Agents. Unlike many W-Engines that focus on personal damage, Elegant Vanity amplifies the entire party's offensive output, making it a highly coveted item for any team composition that relies on coordinated strikes and sustained pressure. Its presence in the W-Engine Reverberation banner during the latter half of Version 2.5 gave players a limited window to acquire it, and while that banner has since ended, the engine's value in the meta remains undiminished.

Stats and Effects

As an S-rank W-Engine, Elegant Vanity boasts a high base ATK stat, which scales favorably for support characters who need to contribute meaningful damage while fulfilling their primary role. Its substat is ATK percentage, further enhancing the wielder's offensive capabilities. The engine's passive effect is where it truly shines: it provides a party-wide DMG bonus that benefits all team members, regardless of their attribute or role. This makes Elegant Vanity a universal support tool, capable of elevating the performance of any squad. The effect triggers under specific conditions tied to the wielder's actions, ensuring that the buff maintains high uptime during combat. For support Agents who already prioritize ATK in their builds, the synergy is seamless—Elegant Vanity transforms their offensive investments into a tangible boost for the entire team.

Best Characters

The recommended characters for Elegant Vanity are arranged from most to least optimal, based on their kit synergies and reliance on the ATK stat.

Character	Recommendation Level	Why It Works
Astra	⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Signature)	As the signature weapon, it perfectly complements Astra's support kit, maximizing her ATK scaling and party buffs.
Soukaku	⭐⭐⭐⭐	Soukaku thrives on ATK to amplify her buffs, and Elegant Vanity's party-wide DMG boost stacks beautifully with her ice-centric support.
Lucy	⭐⭐⭐⭐	Lucy's offensive support style benefits greatly from the ATK substat and the universal DMG bonus, making her a formidable wielder.

Astra remains the undisputed best user of Elegant Vanity, as it was designed with her abilities in mind. However, any Support Agent who scales with ATK can extract significant value from this W-Engine. Soukaku and Lucy, in particular, can take full advantage of its effects, turning their supportive capabilities into a relentless offensive engine for the team. The engine's flexibility means it is never a wasted slot, even if Astra is unavailable.

How to Get Elegant Vanity

Elegant Vanity was last featured as one of the spotlight S-Rank W-Engines in the W-Engine Reverberation banner, alongside Soldier 0 Anby's Severed Innocence and Alice's Practiced Perfection. This limited rerun banner ran from January 21 to February 5, 2026, during the latter half of Version 2.5. Since the banner has concluded, Elegant Vanity is currently unobtainable through direct pulls. However, given the cyclical nature of Zenless Zone Zero's banner system, a future rerun is highly likely. Players who missed the window should keep an eye on official announcements and save their Polychromes for the next opportunity. As with all limited W-Engines, acquiring Elegant Vanity requires pulling on its specific banner, so patience and resource management are key.

Ascension Materials

Ascending Elegant Vanity to its maximum level requires a set of materials that are standard for S-rank W-Engines but still demand dedicated farming. The exact materials per ascension level are illustrated in the image below, providing a clear roadmap for players preparing to upgrade the engine.

These materials can be obtained through various in-game activities, including W-Engine component farming and event rewards. Planning ahead is essential, as fully ascending an S-rank W-Engine represents a significant investment of resources. For those fortunate enough to own Elegant Vanity, prioritizing its ascension will pay dividends in the form of enhanced stats and a more potent party buff.

Final Thoughts

Elegant Vanity stands as a testament to the power of support-focused W-Engines in Zenless Zone Zero. Its ability to elevate the entire party's damage output, combined with its ATK-centric design, makes it a must-have for dedicated support players. While Astra is its ideal wielder, the engine's universal appeal ensures that characters like Soukaku and Lucy can also shine brightly with it equipped. Although the Version 2.5 rerun banner has ended, the legacy of Elegant Vanity continues to shape team-building strategies. For those who possess it, the engine is a cornerstone of high-performance compositions; for those who do not, the wait for its return is a worthwhile investment in future success. 🎯
