First things first – locating this gem! The Memorial Mountains are discovered super early in your adventure, just west of Florawish on your map. You can't miss it – it's this gorgeous area with ancient ruins right in the center and these serene little ponds scattered around. It feels both mysterious and peaceful, perfect for a photoshoot once you've cleaned up the place! 📸

Okay, let's get to the sparkly stuff! There are SEVEN Whimstars hidden here. Some are handed to you, others require a bit of parkour and puzzle-solving. I've listed them in the order I usually collect them for maximum efficiency. Grab your cutest outfit and let's go!

Whimstar #1 – The Tutorial Treasure

This one's a freebie, literally! During the tutorial when you first enter the Unknown Ruins, just look to your right. Nikki will actually point it out for you – how sweet! It's hiding behind some vines. Just walk up, press your Interact button (still F on PC in 2026!), and watch the cute cutscene as she claims her prize. Easy peasy! 🎁

Whimstar #2 – Pillar Perfection

Still following the tutorial? Good! After you exit the ruins, you'll meet a little... obstacle. Once that scene plays out, run to the LEFT of that enemy. You'll spot a cozy little nook with four pillars. Tucked right underneath them is your second star. Two down, five to go!

Whimstar #3 – Momo's First Assist

From those four pillars, head straight north. Your furry companion Momo will pop up, offering to help find Whimstars – what a pal! 🐾 Press V to let him work his magic. He'll highlight a spot just ahead where some wooden planks are covering a secret. Jump up, then press Q to do a ground slam and smash through! Drop into the hidden room and grab the star waiting at the back.

Time for some platforming! This is where the real exploration begins. The next few require careful jumps and a good eye.

Whimstar #4 – Pond Hopper

Fast travel to the By the Stylist's Guild Memorial Warp Spire in the northern part of the mountains. From there, follow the path to the right. You'll see a pond with tiny rocky platforms. Channel your inner ballerina and jump across them! ⚠️ PRO TIP: Don't fall in! Nikki still can't swim in 2026, and you'll respawn at your last spot. After three precise jumps, your reward awaits on the final platform.

Whimstar #5 – Seesaw Launch

Warp to the Beside the Statue in the Old Florawish Memorial Warp Spire. Head southeast along the path. About halfway, ditch the path and go north. You'll see this giant, ancient seesaw thing. Jump onto the high platform, then do your jump-and-slam (Q again!) onto it. It'll launch you sky-high! 🚀 Use your float ability to glide east to another platform, then a quick hop to the one right in front of it. Your star is sitting pretty on top.

Whimstar #6 – Chest Guardians

From that fifth star's pillar, use Momo's locate ability again (V). He'll sniff out a chest to the northeast. Glide over to the nearby ruins and open the shiny chest! Surprise – enemies! 😱 Don't panic. Use your Purification ability to clean them up quickly and stylishly. Once they're gone, the Whimstar materializes where the chest was.

Whimstar #7 – The Shy Whimink

Last one! Head back to the Beside the Statue warp point and take the eastern path again. This time, about halfway, go SOUTH. Use Momo in this area. He'll reveal the star is inside a timid little Whimink creature. This is the fun part! You MUST switch to your Bye-Bye Dust Outfit. Sneak up slowly (crouch if you need to!), groom the adorable thing, and it'll transform into your final Whimstar. So wholesome! 💖
