ZZZ Qingyi Build: Best W-Engines, Discs, and Teams in 2026
Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero excels as an S-rank stun agent, delivering electric damage and maximizing team burst windows.
I have been running Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero since her early banners, and in 2026 she remains one of the best S-rank stun agents in New Eridu. She is not a traditional on-field carry in the final burst sense. Instead, she applies massive daze, triggers powerful stun windows, and boosts the damage your attacker can unload while the enemy is locked down. If you like aggressive melee combos and fast swaps, she is still worth building.

At a glance, I prioritize these choices for Qingyi:
| Slot | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| W-Engine | Ice-Jade Teapot |
| Drive Discs | 4-piece Shockstar Disco + 2-piece Swing Jazz |
| Disc 4 main stat | Crit rate or crit damage |
| Disc 5 main stat | Electric damage bonus |
| Disc 6 main stat | Impact |
| Key substats | Crit, attack ratio, pen ratio, flat attack |
How I play Qingyi
Qingyi is an S-rank stun specialist who deals electric damage and belongs to the New Eridu Public Security Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. Her kit revolves around the Flash Connect Voltage gauge. Every electric damage attack generates Voltage, and she can hold up to 100 units. Once she reaches 75 units, I use her empowered basic attack, Enchanted Moonlit Blossoms, to convert that Voltage into serious daze and an increased stun damage multiplier.
Because of this loop, I keep Qingyi on-field whenever the enemy is not stunned. I build Voltage with her electric combos, spend 75 units on the enhanced basic attack, and repeat until the enemy enters the stun state. Then I immediately switch to my attack character to dump damage. When the stun ends, I switch back to Qingyi and start building Voltage again. This rotation is simple but very effective.
One important note is her field time requirement. Qingyi wants a lot of time on the field, so she works best in teams where the other units can quickly drop their buffs or burst and then leave. Do not pair her with another unit that also demands constant field time unless your rotation is extremely disciplined.
Best W-Engines for Qingyi
Qingyi's best W-Engine is her signature S-rank option, Ice-Jade Teapot. It is tailored to her kit, boosting her impact and increasing the damage her allies deal. That combination makes it the clear first choice if you have the tapes to chase it.
Here is my personal ranking of Qingyi's top W-Engines:
-
Ice-Jade Teapot: Best overall, signature impact boost and team damage.
-
The Restrained: Second best, Lycaon's signature, strong stun stats and higher damage output.
-
Hellfire Gears: Solid all-rounder thanks to impact and energy recharge bonuses.
-
Steam Oven: Best A-rank and F2P pick, with a potent combat effect that scales well with superimpose levels.
-
Six Shooter: Battle pass option, decent backup.
-
Precious Fossilized Core: Standard A-rank backup.
-
[Vortex] Arrow: Best early B-rank choice for new players.
Best Drive Discs and stats
I recommend four pieces of Shockstar Disco and two pieces of Swing Jazz for Qingyi. Shockstar Disco increases her impact and provides a large boost to daze on basic attacks, dash attacks, and dodge counters. This helps me trigger stun faster, which is exactly what I want from a stun agent. Swing Jazz adds energy regen, which makes her rotation smoother.
If you want more personal damage, you can replace Swing Jazz with two pieces of Woodpecker Electro, Thunder Metal, or Puffer Electro. The four-piece Shockstar Disco set is still the core.
For main stats, I go with crit rate or crit damage on disc four, electric damage bonus on disc five, and impact on disc six. For substats, I look for crit rate, crit damage, attack ratio, pen ratio, and flat attack. Impact is mostly covered by disc six and her W-Engine, but any extra never hurts.
Best Qingyi teams
Qingyi's additional ability activates when she is paired with at least one attack character or another New Eridu Public Security member. That makes her very flexible. She generally fits the stunner-attacker-support template, and her passive will almost always be active because you usually run her with a main attacker.
Some strong team compositions I have used:
-
Qingyi + Zhu Yuan + Nicole
-
Qingyi + Nekomata + Nicole
-
Qingyi + Billy + Nicole
In these squads, Nicole handles crowd control and debuffs, Qingyi builds daze and stuns, and the attacker finishes the job. Zhu Yuan is a fantastic partner because her burst damage lines up well with Qingyi's stun window. Nekomata and Billy also work, especially if you need an easy-to-gear attack unit.

Skills, mindscapes, and upgrades
Qingyi's basic attack chain, dodge, and combo attacks all feed into her Voltage loop. Her core passive and additional ability improve her daze and attack, so I recommend upgrading the skills you use most in her on-field rotation. Her empowered basic attack is especially important because it maximizes her daze potential and stun damage multiplier.
Mindscape cinemas work like extra passive upgrades when you pull duplicate copies of Qingyi. They are similar to constellations in other HoYoverse games. If you really like Qingyi and have spare resources, extra mindscapes can make her even smoother, but her base kit is already strong enough for most content.
For leveling, she needs denny and stun certification seals at certain promotion thresholds. Her core skill enhancement materials include higher dimensional data from the Expert Challenge: Notorious - Armored Hati and living drives from the Notorious Hunt: Unknown Corruption Complex. For individual skill upgrades, I farm shock chips from the agent skills combat simulation challenges and use Hamster Cage Pass from events or the New Eridu City Fund.

Voice actors and flavor
Qingyi's English voice actor is Kira Buckland, known for roles such as Jolyne Cujoh, 2B, and Kuki Shinobu. Her Japanese voice actor is Abo Maria. In the story, Qingyi is a seasoned New Eridu Public Security officer who often gives advice to younger agents. Her agent record suggests she can be a little odd, but that only adds to her charm.
Overall, Qingyi is still a top-tier stun support in 2026. She needs field time and a good attacker partner, but once you learn her Voltage loop, she can carry your team's crowd control and open up enormous damage windows.
